This Privacy Policy explains what information multiaskai.com (“the Service”), operated by Thinkly for Digital Business (“we”, “us”), processes when you use it, and the choices you have. We designed the Service to work without accounts and to keep the data we hold to a minimum.
Who we are
Thinkly for Digital Business operates the Service. You can reach us through the contact page. For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we are the data controller for the processing described here.
No accounts
The Service has no registration, no login and no user profiles. We do not ask for your name or email address to use it.
What we process and why
Your questions and uploaded images
When you submit a question, its text (and, on the image page, the picture you attach) is sent to third-party AI model providers so that they can generate answers. We instruct these providers only to produce a reply. Uploaded images are held in memory only for the duration of the request and are deleted immediately after processing; they are never written to our storage.
To reduce cost and speed up repeated questions, the text of a question and the answers it received may be cached anonymously on our server for up to 7 days. Cached entries are keyed by the question text and contain no identifier linking them to you. Questions that include an image are never cached. Please do not include personal data, passwords or confidential information in your questions.
Follow-up questions and your current session
When you ask a follow-up, your browser sends the earlier question and each model’s own earlier answer along with the new question so that the model has context. This history is held only in your browser (session storage for the current tab) and is used by our server for that one request; it is not stored, and follow-ups are never cached. Closing the tab or clicking “New question” removes it.
Usage limits and abuse prevention
To offer the Service for free we apply a daily limit per visitor. To do this we store a hashed value derived from your IP address and a first-party cookie, together with a daily counter and a two-letter country code. The hash cannot be reversed into your IP address. Counters are deleted within three days. Your country is read from a header set by our content delivery network or from a local geolocation database; your IP address is not sent to any geolocation service.
We also keep short-lived rate-limit counters (hashed IP, deleted within two hours) and honeypot and timing checks to block automated abuse. Server error logs record technical failures without question text and without any API keys.
Anonymous statistics
We keep aggregate counts of questions per day, per country and per model family, and anonymous votes on the compare page. These records do not contain your question text or any identifier linking them to you.
Contact form
If you write to us through the contact form we process your name, email address and message to reply to you. Messages are delivered by email and kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
Third-party AI model providers
Answers are produced by third-party AI model providers. Your question text and any attached image are transmitted to them for that purpose. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not send them your IP address or cookie identifiers.
Advertising cookies
The Service is funded by advertising delivered by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, and you can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Where required by law, ads are only personalised after you give consent. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Legal bases (GDPR)
- Performing the Service you request (generating answers): our legitimate interest in operating the tool and the necessity of processing to deliver what you asked for.
- Usage limits, caching, abuse prevention and error logging: our legitimate interest in keeping the Service free, secure and affordable.
- Advertising cookies: your consent, where consent is required.
- Contact form: our legitimate interest in answering your message.
Retention
- Anonymous answer cache (including the short agreement note): up to 7 days.
- Current session (question, answers, follow-ups): only in your browser tab, until you close it or start a new question.
- Daily limit counters: up to 3 days.
- Rate-limit counters: up to 2 hours.
- Uploaded images: deleted immediately after processing.
- Aggregate statistics and anonymous votes: kept indefinitely; they contain no personal data.
- Error logs: rotated regularly and kept for a short period.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because the Service stores no account and only hashed identifiers, we usually cannot link stored data to you; contact us and we will explain what we can do. California residents have the rights described in the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, to delete and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information; advertising cookies may count as “sharing” under California law and you can opt out through your cookie settings or Google’s Ads Settings.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
International transfers
AI model providers and advertising partners may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or other approved safeguards.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version.
